Introduction

The Office of Integrated Safety and Program Assurance is responsible for oversight of all projects within the Office of Nuclear Energy (NE). In addition to project management, all integrated safety activities, oversight for NE reactor operations, safeguards and security, quality assurance, emergency management, nuclear criticality, and transportation within NE are under the direction of NE-43.
