Obtaining References

If you would like a copy of a reference, please call the DOE-NE office to place your request at 1-866-645-7803. When making a reference request, please indicate which reference you would like by the RM number immediately following the reference title.

References are listed alphabetically using the name of the issuing organization or company. A reference may also be listed by the senior author’s last name. Reference will be sent by fourth class mail, and there is two business days turn around time. If the requester wants expedited delivery, they must furnish an account number for a parcel delivery service such as Federal Express or UPS. If the request is for a large number of documents or for lengthy documents, additional processing time will be required.

Reference Key:

In the column headed Status six designations are used:

PA Reference is publically available or regulatory in nature, therefore easily accessible to the public. Reference materials designated readily available or regulatory include U.S. Department of Energy Orders, materials printed in the Federal Register, federal and state laws, including the Code of Federal regulations (CFR), U.S. Code (U.S.C.), Executive Orders, and DOE published Environmental Impact Statements. Again, consult a librarian for assistance, providing the information given in this reference index.

C Reference is copyrighted. Copyrighted material may not be photocopied or reproduced. The index contains information that will aid in obtaining a copy of the work, if desired. If the reference refers to a limited number of pages, those will be maintained in the DOE-Office of Nuclear Energy (NE) EIS Records Center. If the reference is the entire volume, consult a librarian for assistance.

E Reference is electronically available on the internet. As webpages can change over time, a snapshot of the reference webpage is made available. In some cases, the index contains the electronically available information that will aid in obtaining a copy of the document from the respective agency. To save time and money, all the electronically available references should be first searched on the internet before requesting them.

PC Reference is a personal communication such as an email or a telecommunication. A copy of the email communication or a telecom log can be provided upon request.

HC Reference exists as a hard copy only and it is not available on the internet. A copy of the document can be provided upon request.
